Today is election day in Nigeria. Members of the parliament across 36 states of Nigeria plus the federal capital territory will be elected today.

11:00 AM (Nigerian Time) :EDO STATE: Senatorial election postponed.

ABUJA: Reporting from Efab Estate, Abuja: 90% of people I have interviewed don't even know who the candidates are...they are just here to 'vote against' the PDP.

KADUNA: We've started the accreditation in Kaduna Nigeria under Kaduna North LGA, Polling Unit Pilgrims Welfare Board Katsina Road at exactly 10:30am 2hrs late, we hope INEC will take note on that. However, the material as at the time of writing this text Malali, Tudun Wada & Kabala coasting have not received any material.

Abuja: Large turnout of voters at Asokoro center, accreditation of voters commenced late.

Delta  state REC reveals to African Independent television (AIT) that there is shortage of ballot materials for the three sentaorial districts in the state.

Bayelsa State: Fierce gun battle raging at Ekeremor LGA area, details are sketchy.

IMO State: INEC distributes voting materials without result sheets

ABUJA: As the time of writing this text accreditation is yet to start at area 1 old Secretariat polling unit.

Delta State: Accreditation which was supposed to commence by 8:00 am is yet start in Sapele, Delta state even as at 10:35 am. This looks like a plan to make voters weary and perhaps return to their homes due to long hours of waiting
Election material about 6 stronghold of opposition in delta state is missing at INEC office in Asaba REC is missing from abuja,the once here has been tempered e.g area that ought get 10000 is getting 5000 where is balance? Opposition agent is saying no as such they will not leave INEC office. That is case here.

LAGOS: Polling unit 002 on Bamgbose/Alli st,Lagos island,Lagos. INEC officials yet to arrive. Time now is 8.45am. Security men were here by   INEC has started with its fraud. On d ballot paper there is AC and ACN with both parties having the BROOM as their symbol. How can this be possible ? Its a ploy to deceive voter and reduce the votes of ACN.

Benue sate governor, Gabriel Suswam defies INEC regulations, he is moving around from one polling booth to another with heavily armed policemen.

Ogun State: Abeokuta is somehow calm, and accreditation has begun. Hope it will continue this way throughout the day.
Adamawa State: In Yola south election as not commenced due to non availability of ballot papers. Am a serving corp member and have been up since 6am.

Delta State: it is 9.45a.m in Udu L.G.A Delta State and there is no Election materials yet in any voting centre in the Local Council... Reason is that the materials have not arrived from Asaba the Delta State capital where INEC state office is situated.

AKWA IBOM: This is to inform you that voting has not begun in ward 2, Ididep, Ibiono Ibom L.G, AKS. No electoral officer has been seen even as at this time; 9.54am.

Kaduna state: Thousands waiting Kubawu street, Kawoni extension, Kaduna, voters arrived since 8: 00 AM, no INEC officials in sight.

Edo state: Benin city, no materials yet. voters still waiting for materials and elections officers to arrive at 9:48 AM.
Idumebo-Irrua, Esan Central L. G. A., Edo State there are no election materials or INEC personnel as @ now 10.30am.


INEC officials in Edo state are distributing election materials without result sheets. How do we make the votes count?  m
It's 10am Saturday april 2nd 2011. No INEC officials nor voting materials in any polling center in Orhionmwon lag,  Edo state for voting to commence.

Benue State: Gboko at Gyado hotel polling center, electoral officers arrive.

Akwa Ibom: Uyo Ward 3, No voting materials

ADAMAWA State: Fufore LGA area, the biggest lga in Adamawa state hasn't received any materials as at 9:45 AM.

BORNO STATE: Logistic problem in Borno state relating to the distribution of election materials. Distribution of materials has not commenced because party officials protested the non-availability of materials for Borno South & North. Curiously only those of Borno Central are intact & on ground, ready for distribution but people kicked against their distribution ostensibly insinuating a grand plot to favour a particular candidate. Given the difficult terrain of the state it is doubtful that election would take place today.

KADUNA State: as at 07:50am voting materials are yet to arrive SMC Admin (Anguwan Dosa) Distribution centre, Kaduna South Local Government Council.

KANO State: This to inform all that in my area in Tarauni LG of Kano, that as at 8 o'clock no INEC staff is on ground.

Lagos State: Agege lga accreditation of voters has not started there is  heavy presence of security personnel from the police, NDLEA, and Nigeria prison service, they  refused me the use of camera.
  
ABUJA: It is now 8:45am at Utako, Abuja. No sign of INEC officials. Prospective voters & police men are sitting on the ground or wherever they can perch chatting.

-Polling unit PU:37/06/04/019 in Abuja. 9am no trace of INEC officials. Does any know if anything is happening in other parts of the fct? It looks like there is a situation in Abuja.  Close to 100 people at polling station.

ENUGU STATE: 8:40 AM Nkanu West  lga, they just started distribution of voting materials. Chief of Staff to ov. Chime just arrived here with 6 well armed policemen. How did she get these policemen?

ADAMAWA STATE: On queue, ready for accreditation, everything is calm at Karewa ward in Yola.

ONDO STATE:  Akure South LGA, ward 2 unit 11 accreditation is yet to start as at 9 am.

DELTA State: In Burutu area there are no voting materials as at 9: 00 AM



















KOGI State: No electoral officer a Ansarol polling unit in Lokoja as at 9: 17 AM, people are becoming impatient.

EKITI State: No election in Ado, Ekiti Central, because INEC can provide electoral materials.

-Accreditation of voters is yet to commence in Ado-Ekiti, the State Capital in virtually all the polling units in the town. INEC officials are yet to resume to their duty post while voters were waiting anxiously to cast their vote.Military Men has been placed in all the strategic locations of the State.

OYO State: As at this moment ,9.15am, no any activities has commenced here at Ibadan North East/Southeast constituency.

BENUE State: Reports from Gboko, the second largest city in the state shows there are no election officers.

Imo state:  voters are out in their numbers but there is no materials. This is no different from the Iwu days. They say materials are still in the airport.
