Former Super Eagles’ coach, Samson Siasia, has warned the incumbent handler of the team, Stephen Keshi to watch out as there are traitors among his backroom staff who may work for his failure.
Siasia who was sacked for failing to qualify Nigeria for the Africa Cup of Nations at the end of the qualifying series, said that in as much as he wants Keshi to succeed in the Eagles, there is strong need for the Chief Coach to beware of people around him as there are wolves in sheep’s skin among the team’s technical crew.
The former Nigerian international emphasised that Keshi should be vigilant and ensure that his assistants do not betray him in his quest to bring back the glorious days of the senior national team.
“I wish Keshi a successful tenure as the Eagles’ coach, but he needs to sleep with his two eyes open, because of some members of his technical crew that might be nursing a hidden agenda while working with him. I’m confident that he has what it takes to lead the Eagles to greater heights,” he said on Brila FM early today.
Siasia noted that being a successful coach of the Eagles depends on the commitment, dedication and absolute support of other members of the technical crew who should be working in line with the vision and goals of their boss.
