B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G N-E-W-S: Baba Suwe released!

The embattled Yoruba actor/comedian, Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe, who has been under the custody of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, for alleged drug trafficking was Friday morning released by the agency .
This followed the order of the Ikeja High Court that the comedian be released on bail on Friday, the 4th of November (today) if no drug was found on him.
It will be recalled that NDLEA has obtained an order to detain the Nollywood actor for 15 days after he had spent 11 days in detention. The order was granted by Justice Okechukwu Okeke of Federal High Court, Lagos.

But Counsel to Baba Suwe, Bamidele Aturu, in an ex-parte motion application had asked the Ikeja High Court to order NDLEA to immediately release his client from detention and incarceration.
Justice Yetunde Idowu however, granted the request of the defense counsel, ordering NDLEA to release Baba Suwe on bail at the termination of Federal High Court order.
However, as at the time of this report, Vanguard gathered that the NDLEA is awaiting the report of its legal team, said to be in a marathon meeting, on its next line of action.
More details later .
 Do have your say:
Despite his release, do you think Baba Suwe has the suspected drug in his system?
